Bye, Bye 2017

The 2017 New Year’s Eve sunset over the Bay Area did not disappoint this year.

As individuals prepared to celebrate the start of the New Year, staff from EPS participated in the annual Bay Area tradition of watching the New Year’s Eve sunset from the Oakland/Berkeley Hills above campus.

With a mixture of fog, smoke from the fires burning in Southern California, you can see that Mother Nature did not disappoint.

Although many parts of the United States were gripped with bone chilling temperatures, the Bay Area (and most of California) have witnessed non-normal moderate temperatures.

However, it should be noted that the Bay Area (and California) also witnessed one of the driest Decembers in history-with the Bay Area receiving almost no measurable precipitation during the holiday month.
