Prof. Roland Burgmann honored as a fellow of the American Geophysical Union

The American Geophysical Union (AGU) has announced that Professor Roland Burgmann is among its 2013 class of Fellows. This honor is bestowed upon members of the union who have made exceptional scientific contributions and attained acknowledged eminence in the fields of Earth and space science.

Roland's citation for the fellowship states that it is awarded "For elucidating the role of the micromechanical properties of the ductile lithosphere to understand the earthquake deformation cycle."

Roland will be honored during the 2013 AGU Fall Meeting held this December in San Francisco.
