One-day fieldtrip to N California

A course for geologists, materials scientists, biologists and all those interested in minerals and crystals. After all rocks as well as bones are made up of minerals and most man-made materials are crystalline.

Labs comprise exercises about mineral structure and composition, mineral identification in hand specimens, use of the petrographic microscope and field trips.
