The Departments of Astronomy and Earth & Planetary Science at the University of California, Berkeley invite applications for an Assistant Professor Faculty position as part of a campus-wide initiative to promote scientific discovery through data-driven science. We seek candidates from all areas of astronomy, astrophysics, earth and planetary science, with an emphasis on individuals who develop or apply modern data-science techniques or tools to make progress in their respective field of research. The basic qualifications required to be considered for this position are a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, or enrollment in a Ph.D. or equivalent international degree-granting program at the time of application.
A Ph.D. or equivalent international degree is preferred by the date of hire.
