Each year since 1907, the Academic Senate has recognized two representatives from our distinguished faculty to share their research in a public lecture hosted by the Chancellor. This is the highest honor accorded to members of the faculty by the Academic Senate at Berkeley. This year's lectures will be delivered by Professor Banfield (April 30) and Professor Alison Gopnik from the Department of Psychology (March 19). Lectures are free and open to the public. For visitor information and questions, see event website.
EPS Professor Jillian Banfield's lecture, "Mysteries of the Invisible World of Microbes" will be held at Sibley Auditorium in the Bechtel Engineering Center from 4-5pm on Tuesday, April 30.
