UC Berkeley Grad Slam Competition

Friday, April 1, 2022

Congratulations to EPS PhD student Tanja Kovačević on advancing to the Berkeley finals!

Tanja (she/her) is a second-year Ph.D. student who studies material properties, pertaining to planetary interiors, under extreme conditions using ab-initio computer simulations. Upon completing her Ph.D., she hopes to continue studying planetary interiors and evolution as a postdoctoral fellow.
On a personal note, Tanja is a refugee and a first-generation college student. She finds it imperative to continue mentorship and outreach efforts as she progresses throughout her science career. Find out more about her work on her website and on Twitter @TanjaTheTauri

The 2022 Berkeley Grad Slam is coming on Monday April 11th from 3:00 - 5:00pm PST. Watch and cheer on Berkeley graduate students as they showcase their research in a series of three-minute talks. (Think mini Ted Talks.)
