Our very own doctoral students, Tanja Kovacevic and Mercedes Vasquez were featured in a Vox interview titled "This Giant Laser can Simulate a Planet's Core". The video talks about the high temperatures and pressures in the core of planet Earth. The video talks about some of the tools scientists use to study the core of planets are computer models, the diamond experiment, a gas gun, and the world's largest laser.
