Prof. Lung S Chan received his bachelor’s degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and his master’s and PhD in geology and geophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. He taught geology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for 10 years before joining The University of Hong Kong about 30 years ago, including 8 years as the head of two community colleges affiliated with the university.
